Stuffed French Toast Recipe:
Ingredients:
8 slices of bread (thick-sliced bread works best)
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
Butter, for frying
Maple syrup, for serving
Instructions:
In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the cream cheese, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Take two slices of bread and spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture on one slice. Top with the other slice of bread to make a sandwich. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread and cream cheese mixture.
In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, ground cinnamon, and salt.
Melt a tablespoon of butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides.
Place the dipped sandwich into the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Repeat with the remaining sandwiches, adding more butter to the skillet as needed.
Serve the stuffed French toast hot with a drizzle of maple syrup.
Enjoy your delicious and indulgent breakfast!
