Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for green bean casserole with mushrooms:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms, onion, and garlic, and sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until the mushrooms and onions are softened.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mushroom mixture, and stir to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
